I’ve tweeted out my goal and posted it on my lang gram. I’m in a Spanish group chat, so I’ve informed them. Now I just need to find my person to check in on me. ?
I have a visual of my goal, just a list I made, but I don’t really have a song or any visual reminders besides that. ? I think I’ll find scriptures in Spanish and read those, and make a tally on my gram of how much I’ve learned/how far I’ve gotten.
Here’s my list! I’m excited and I’m going to think positively because deadlines give me anxiety. Even now all I hear is, “What if you don’t make it?” “What if you fail?” “Are you sue you can do this?” But I’m determined to see this through and I WILL.

I’m notorious for pushing myself too hard. I try to do too many things at one time, and eventually I burn out and I just don’t want to do it anymore.
After watching the video, I know I said I would do flashcards for one of my activities but I’m terrible with them. Even now I know that they can be useful, but eventually I get sick of reviewing them.
Therefore I’m cutting it down to reading “Windbreaker” in Spanish (part I). I’ll do 8 episodes a week, 2 episodes 4 days a week (Mon/Tue/Thurs/Sat) and just look up words and write down phrases as I go. Then read the episodes again. I think the simpler it is, the better for me.

I’ve actually redone my goals from last night. Honestly I’m still confused on what my overall goal is… But I sat down and gave it some more thought, and this is what I’ve come up with:
GRAMMAR: I want to become more familiar with the subjunctive and preterite VS imperfect. I’m going to be doing 1 lesson a week from Easy Spanish Step-By-Step. Each day I’ll read the lesson at home, complete the exercise for that day, check my answers and mark questions I’m confused about.
READING: I will read Season 1 of Windbreaker (ESP). I’ll read 2 episodes a day during my lunch, then at home I’ll go back and made flashcards for all the words/phrases I don’t know and the read the story again.
SPEAKING: I want to learn 10 common professional phrases in Spanish and learn 2 synonyms or expressions for words I use repeatedly. I will study on Utalk 3-4 days a week. I’ll focus on business, emotions and health vocabulary at home or while walking. Then I’ll review an hour before going to bed.

My overall goal is to get to intermediate level and learn some professional Spanish. Here are some things that I think will help:
I have avoided the subjunctive for awhile, but I’m starting to notice I am not confident when I need to use it. So I have a Spanish book that covers the subjunctive and I think I can familiarize myself with the present and past subjunctive in 90 days.
I don’t read enough. Other than reading my Bible in Spanish, I barely read anything outside of that. There is a comic I like that was translated to Spanish (and I keep saying I’ll start it… and I never do.) I want to read at least 30 chapters (it’s a very long series.)
Finally I want to learn some common phrases I can use for speaking professionally in Spanish. I think 10 or so is reasonable.
My deadline is July 31st.

I was wondering if this was too much yesterday… ? I think I’ll just do the reading activity. That way I can also focus on vocabulary, idioms, etc.
And yes, originally I was going to read everyday. What I will do instead is read Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I’ll read at least 2 episodes (or chapters), which will be 8 a week at home. And I’ll write down phrases and words I don’t know, make the flashcards, then read the episodes again that day.
On Sunday, Wednesday and Friday I’ll review my flashcards for 15-20 minutes.

Estoy feliz para ti. No podemos asistir a nuestra Iglesia por causa del virus, pero he encontrado un podcast en español y dicen sobre temas espiritual. Por ejemplo la importancia de nuestra relación con Dios, cómo vivir una vida aceptable a Dios, y cosas así.

It is… ? I have started reading with both versions together. English first, then Spanish.
