My goal is to understand 25-50% of the Spanish portion of Tuesday staff meetings, and our team’s monthly podcasts in Spanish by June 30th. That is 10 weeks of staff meetings and at least 3 podcast productions. I can work with both the staff meeting agenda in Spanish and the Spanish podcast script (which I write in English and is translated by a staff member) to highlight words I don’t know and any conjugations, etc…I’m unfamiliar with. Beyond highlighting what I don’t know, what additional steps can I take to increase comprehension?
Also, I commit to 9 tutoring sessions between now and June 30th where I can ask questions about the above goal and practice speaking Spanish.

Also, do you have a direct email we can contact you with technological feedback? I’ve had a few funny things occur with the course so far. Thanks!

I was placed in a project at work that finally got me to turn my “become fluent in Spanish” agenda item into a top priority. I just had my first 1:1 session last week and faced my performance anxiety. Since then, I’ve been inviting my mom to practice basic vocabulary with me so she can learn and I can refresh what I learned back in grade school. She and I laughed so hard this morning learning body parts, making up mnemonics and taking in the Spring daffodils.
