    ?? great plan Julie!

The only thing I might add is including some tutoring sessions where you review vocabulary with a Spanish teacher/coach. This will help you make sure your pronunciation is correct and you’ll begin to practice for your conversation.

    Hi Alexis,

What is your overall goal? It’s hard to tell if these activities will help you meet your goal because I’m not sure what it is. I’d focus on one main goal for the next 90 days.

You can work on more than one skill, but it’s usually better if you limit it to one or 2 things. Trying to learn how to read, write, and improve listening comprehension all at once can be difficult.

If your true goal is conversation, I’d focus less on books and more on learning and practicing using conversational vocabulary.

This is a great plan Angela! I’d just include the deadline in the goal. Also don’t forget to include an implementation intention to each activity.

    Hola Jan,

It sounds like your real goal here is to pass an exam on June 4. Is that correct?

If so, simply state that as your goal. You can include the other details in your activities (see day 2).

This is a great goal! Instead of setting a range, I’d pick one percentage to make it clearer. So something like this:

“I will understand 50% of Tuesday staff meetings and podcasts by June 30”

It’s good you’ve committed to 9 tutoring sessions. Have you scheduled them yet?

Are you able to record staff meetings? Or note down words you hear repeated often during the meeting?

For listening comprehension, I recommend reviewing words using flash
cards with audio (you can use an app like Quizlet). The podcast is
great because you can repeat the section you’re having trouble
understanding and use it as a source of vocabulary.

I give more about how to approach listening comprehension goals in episode 51: https://www.learnspanishconsalsa.com/51/

Having one overall goal helps because you can make sure your activities are helping you meet that goal.

I still think this is a lot, but it is more specific so that’s good! The only thing missing is identifying which days you’ll do each activity. When you indicate every day, is that every week day/work day or 7 days a week?

Hola Carla, I like that you’ve included where you’ll complete each activity!

Do all of these relate to your goal of having small talk in a cafe by July 1?
