Bryan, this is a great start. I would add in having conversations using the direct and indirect object pronouns so you can practice using them with a Spanish coach, teacher, or tutor.

That’s great Shantera! Listening and repeating is a good way to improve your pronunciation.

That’s great that you’ve found some motivation and are having fun with the language Danae 🙂

Hola Rea, let’s use that to come up with a measurable goal. If you focus on listening comprehension, you can also improve your vocabulary. But to get better at speaking, you have to practice speaking.
Check out episode 50 of the podcast and see if you can come up with a 90-day goal to improve your conversation: https://www.learnspanishconsalsa.com/conversation/

Hola Lee!
This is a good goal! Try to include a conversation topic and/or how long you want the conversation to last.
For example: “I will have a 30-minute conversation in Spanish with a member of my church about [topic] by June 1, 2021”
Also, just a few minor corrections:
La gente an mi iglesia habla español. Para el 1 de junio 2021, quiero hablar un charle solamente an español fluidamente.
La gente en mi iglesia habla español. Para el 1 de junio 2021, quiero tener una charla solamente en español.

Ok that’s a good start. Try to state it in the first person, something like “I will have small talk for 15 minutes when placing an order in a cafe by July 1”
-
Jacqueline, this sounds super ambitious! I know you are an experienced language learner, but the principle of picking ONE thing at a time works very well regardless of your level.
Which one of these things would you feel the most proud of if you were to accomplish it by July 31?
Focus on that, and state your goal in the future tense “I will….by July 31.”

Hola Susan, listening comprehension can be hard to measure, but there are some best practices that will help.
I would focus on what type of content you want to be able to understand (music, news, audiobooks, etc.). I’d suggest content such as podcasts, interviews, etc. to get the best exposure to conversational Spanish.
Then target how much you’d like to be able to understand. For example, if you listen to a song or audio clip and only understand about 10% of what you hear — set a goal to be able to understand 50% – 80%.
I give more details on how to approach improving listening comprehension in episode 51 of the podcast: https://www.learnspanishconsalsa.com/51/
